How We Produced Three Apparel Shootings 100% Remotely For Labelized
Behind the Lens: Remote Fashion Photography with Labelized
When Labelized, a curated concept clothing store known for its unique, ready-to-wear selections, approached us at Otherwhere Creative for a remote photoshoot, we knew it would be an exciting challenge. With their focus on exclusive, modern silhouettes from exclusive designers worldwide, this project aimed to highlight the influence of contemporary fashion. While Labelized is based in Kuwait, the shoot was produced entirely in Seoul, one of the world's most vibrant fashion hubs, allowing us to leverage the creative synergy between the two regions.
Bridging the Gap Between Creativity and Convenience

Labelized had a clear objective: to present a fresh, high-fashion campaign that seamlessly integrated new designs while upholding their brand’s core values. Despite the logistical complexities of working across borders - time zone differences, quality overseeing, confirming models and producing - we stepped in to make the process smooth and efficient. Our location in Seoul and our network as creative professionals in the industry provided access to an array of creative resources, from studios to internationally recognized models, aligning perfectly with Labelized’s sophisticated aesthetic and ensuring ease of production.
Working remotely, we helped Labelized circumvent the usual logistical hurdles. Rather than moving samples across countries or managing production from afar, we offered a complete, streamlined solution. We took full responsibility for receiving and handling the garments and shoes, as well as sourcing inner wear - ensuring their care before, during, and after the shoot. The entire project was executed with a level of efficiency that allowed for full transparency at every stage—despite the distance. This streamlined process allowed us to maximize efficiency while maintaining complete transparency throughout the project.
The Three-Part Photoshoot: E-commerce, Lifestyle, and Editorial
Labelized’s ‘New Drop’ campaign presented through sleek, interactive visuals for online and offline use.
Our collaboration with Labelized involved producing three distinct types of photoshoots: an e-commerce shoot for their website, a lifestyle shoot for their social media campaign, and a high-fashion editorial shoot that captured the essence of the collection. Each phase of the shoot presented its own set of challenges and creative opportunities.
The Creative Process
Before launching into production, we received Labelized’s brand book, which outlined the style guidelines and brand tone. These guidelines, as well as various moodboards - became the cornerstone of our creative direction. Based on these insights, we developed a series of moodboards and storyboards that would bring their campaign to life—spanning three unique visual styles to serve various channels: an e-commerce, lifestyle, and editorial shoot. This preparation allowed us to present concepts that aligned with Labelized's aesthetic while also showcasing the unique features of the selected garments.
For seamless collaboration, we used our integrated project management tools, such as Basecamp and WhatsApp, to maintain real-time communication with the Labelized team. This allowed them to provide input and feedback as the shoots progressed, even from across the globe. This level of transparency and collaboration was key to ensuring the project stayed on track, despite the remote nature of the work.
Producing the E-commerce Shoot

The e-commerce shoot focused on the technical precision of catalog-style photography, designed to bring out the defining features of each garment. With 50 pieces from the collection, the objective was to showcase each item in a way that emphasized its texture, colour accuracy, structure, and design without overwhelming the viewer.
Using reference images provided by the client, we carefully selected the lenses for the shoot and recreated the preferred lighting setup. To ensure accuracy, we first simulated the lighting conditions in 3D imaging software and conducted several test shots during the actual shoot. While some photographers may add their personal flair to e-commerce photography, this can sometimes lead to discrepancies in color accuracy or texture, resulting in returns. We understand the importance of precise representation in e-commerce imagery, which is why we dedicate significant time to preparation—ensuring that the final images are true to the garments and meet the client’s expectations.

Working with professional models Asia and Anna, we captured the clean, minimalist images necessary for Labelized’s online presence, emphasizing the collection’s bold shapes and asymmetrical cuts.
Since the goal of this shoot was to capture 60 distinct looks, including various outfit and styling alterations, efficiency was paramount. By working with two models, we were able to maximize the number of looks within a six-hour timeframe. The models rotated seamlessly in and out of frame, allowing us to adapt quickly based on the client’s needs and preferences. This is where thorough preparation proved essential, ensuring we could maintain the pace while still delivering high-quality results.
For Labelized’s social media, we set up another section of the studio to create playful, visually striking video content featuring green screen work. The concept for this video was a 3D motion graphic animation, where the model would swap through different curated looks in a nostalgic, game-like manner—reminiscent of dress-up games from the early 2000s. As particularly interesting outfits came up, we had the model act out various poses and movements to bring the concept to life.
We later edited the video in post-production, adding the rest of the visuals. The result was an engaging, visually captivating set of assets that resonated well with Labelized’s design-conscious, modern audience.
Lifestyle Shoot in Progress
The purpose of a lifestyle shoot is to immerse the customer in the model's experience by placing the model in everyday situations that the client might encounter. One effective method of achieving this is through simple iPhone photography, a trend many brands are adopting on social media. This approach is part of what makes influencers so successful—they resonate with audiences because they feel relatable. In contrast, highly curated media often falls flat compared to something genuine or authentic, which is why we chose to capture footage using this straightforward method.

Given that Labelized's audience comprises fashion-forward, discerning individuals with an appreciation for clean, modern architecture and design, we selected an industrial-themed studio characterized by its modern, edgy architecture—complete with steel walls and high ceilings. This setting perfectly combined clean, high style with a touch of urban grit.
To make this content even more relatable, we shot it entirely on an iPhone. This decision was inspired by a growing demand for authenticity on social media, where high-quality yet “real” content performs well. The final images struck a balance between style and realism, making the clothes feel accessible while still maintaining their fashion-forward appeal.
About the Editorial Shoot
In contrast, editorial shoots are typically designed to portray the brand's aspirational aesthetic—a more elevated, dream-like version of their identity. For Labelized’s editorial shoot, which was the final chapter of the project, we chose to shoot outdoors, providing an opportunity to explore the high-fashion elements of their collection. Here, we captured 8 to 10 unique looks, taking our time to capture the unique high-fashion essence Labelized is known for. The use of a portable flash lent a professional, editorial edge to the images, while the outdoor setting reinforced the brand's dynamic and innovative feel.
We selected industrial areas, a riverbank, and a train station to reflect the modern, urban feel of the collection, using a portable flash to give the images an editorial edge. This outdoor setting perfectly matched Labelized’s bold and innovative aesthetic. The process, however, was not without its challenges. Shooting during typhoon season in Korea, we had to reschedule one of the editorial shoots due to heavy rain. Flexibility was key, and thanks to understanding models, makeup artists, and a solid contingency plan, we were able able to resume our original outdoor plan. This experience reinforced the importance of adaptability in our industry, showcasing our commitment to delivering high-quality results, regardless of the circumstances. The resulting images effectively captured the essence of the collection, providing Labelized with versatile content that could be utilized across various platforms, including their website and in-store displays.
The Result

In the end, Labelized was thrilled with the results of the shoot. The photos and graphics we produced not only met their expectations but also reflected the adventurous spirit of their brand. This project allowed us to connect with an audience that appreciates creativity, uniqueness, and a touch of playfulness in their fashion choices.
